This rare, beautifully maintained Sabre 42 Hardtop Express, the precursor to the enclosed salon model, is powered by twin Cummins 425HP inboards complemented by Mercury Zeus pods (765 engine hrs), which provides for a comfortable, stable, safe and thrilling ride, while also managing to be extraordinarily quiet and surprisingly efficient and economical. Balance is a one-owner yacht bought in the Fall of 2010, and has always been kept at a Westport yacht club each summer season and serviced and indoor stored almost exclusively at Petzold's Marine, the Connecticut Sabre dealer, in the off season

The hardtop express offers an open plan unavailable in other models. Up two teak steps from the large cockpit brings owners and guests onto the helm deck and its generous seating and stunning varnished teak table with its starburst inlay. The large opening side windows and front electrically actuated windshield provide light and ventilation unparalleled, while the canvas aft enclosure can keep everyone warm or cool and dry on those rainy days.

Down three steps takes one below to the open main cabin with the fully equipped galley to port just aft of the salon seating area.
